Asghari's movie wins three Golden Butterflies at Isfahan filmfest

TEHRAN, Oct. 13 (MNA) – Iranian film “He Throws the Stone Well”, a social drama featuring the hard life of a boy in a poor family, won Golden Butterflies in three categories at the 27th International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults on Friday evening.

Director and producer Ebrahim Asghari received the Golden Butterflies for best film and best director in the international section of the festival, and Hadi Mohaqeq received a Golden Butterfly for best screenplay in the national section for writing the script of the film.
 
Winners were announced and awarded during a closing ceremony held at the Gol-e Narges Theater Hall in Isfahan.
 
The Golden Butterfly for best screenplay in the international section went to “All Alone” by Iranian director Ehsan Abdipur.
 
Kokone Hamada was crowned best child actress for her role in “Oshin” by Japanese director Shin Togashi, and “Matilde” by Vito Palmieri from Italy was named best short film.
 
“House with a Turret” by Eva Neymann from the Ukraine received a Golden Butterfly for best technical and artistic achievement. The film also received the special jury award.
 
“Oshin” was named the best Asian film, and “The Snow Queen” by Yuri Moskvin and Sergey Rapoport from Russia was awarded a Golden Butterfly for best animation.
 
The CIFEJ Jury Award went to “Gonjishkak-e Ashi-Mashi” by Vahid Nik-Khah Azad from Iran.
 
In the national section, the best film award and best director award went to “All Alone” and Meysam Farhumand received the Golden Butterfly for best child actor for his role in the film.
