Baku to host Iranian Film Week

TEHRAN, Sept. 4 (MNA) -- The Azerbaijan Republic capital Baku will host a program entitled Iranian Film Week from September 27 to October 2, the Iranian Young Cinema Society announced in a press release on Saturday.

The program is being held through the efforts of the Culture Ministry of Azerbaijan, the Iranian Young Cinema Society, Iran’s Experimental and Documentary Film Center, and Iran’s Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.

 

A total of 15 feature-length and short films are slated to be screened during the cultural week. Iranian directors Ebrahim Hatamikia, Kamal Tabrizi, Rahbar Qanbari, Mohsen Amir-Yusefi, and several other Iranian filmmakers will be attending the programs of Iranian Film Week in Baku.

 

A photo exhibition entitled “Iranian Cultural Festival” comprised of 75 shots featuring nature and people in Iran will be held on the sidelines of the event.

 

There are also plans to hold an Azeri film week in Tehran in the near future.
