Eskandar Mokhtari said the registration of Bam Citadel as world heritage would also lure tourists to visit the region.
The senior official said when a cultural or natural resort registered as world heritage, it belongs to the people of the world and in this case, the public opinion and international community would be concerned about any change in its condition.
Mokhtari said despite the restrictions the registration may create, this issue draws the world attention to the positive cultural, social and economic aspects.
28th Session of World Cultural Heritage Committee, which was held in China, registered historical complex of "Pasargadae", an early capital of ancient Persia belonging to Achaemenid era (550 B.C. to 331 B.C.) and Bam Citadel in the list of world heritage in danger.
In this meeting, which was held in China last week, Bam was registered as the world cultural heritage because of its especial condition.
Referring to the meeting, the director of Bam Citadel said that representatives of over 170 countries participated in the session and 45 works were introduced for registration in the list of world cultural heritage and only 22 historical sites were registered.
Mokhtari said the "Mount Damavand" and "Salt Lake" near Qom could be registered as the world natural heritage.
He said the subject of spiritual or oral heritage has been discussed and a convention has been formed in this field and we hope Iran will join this convention.
He said spiritual or oral heritage are the customs and traditions of a tribe or nation, which has continued for many years.
According to Mokhtari, Iran has introduced Nowruz as a national and regional festival, which has been commemorated for thousands of years and a completion file has been provided on the subject.
