World Congress “Mulla Sadra and Transcendent Theosophy” Commences in Tehran

TEHRAN May 22 (MNA) –- The Second World Congress on Mulla Sadra and Transcendent Theosophy began on Thursday at the Organization of Islamic Conferences (OIC) Hall.

President Seyyed Mohammad Khatami and several Iranian and foreign scholars attended the opening ceremony on Thursday afternoon.

 

The congress is organized to present Islamic philosophy, particularly transcendent theosophy, and to establish ties between world philosophical centers, and Sadrian philosophy during the five-day event.

 

The philosophy of children, a new issue, is also to be reviewed and discussed at the congress. 

 

May 21st is the 444th birth anniversary of Mulla Sadra. It has been named Sadra Commemoration Day.
