Homeira Vafaei told reporters on Tuesday that “the fetus was diagnosed with the heart valve stenosis, which needed a surgery to stretch and dilate the heart with the help of sonography machine to create a hole and correct the obstruction in the fetus heart.”
She added that “it is recommended that mothers do their ultrasound early and on time, so in case, there are any problems with the fetus, we can take appropriate measures, such as pulmonary valve, valvuloplasty and intrauterine for fixing the defects in the fetus early on.”
