‘Judiciary will not accept supervisory constitutional council’

TEHRAN, March 14 (MNA) – Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani said on Wednesday that the Judiciary will not allow the newly established supervisory constitutional council to carry out their activities at the Judiciary and the affiliated organizations.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appointed the members of the council on March 7.

Amoli Larijani stated that if the council intends to supervise the performance of the judicial apparatus, it will be unconstitutional because the Constitution acknowledges the independence of the three branches of government.
