Archer Ranjbar wins gold in World Para Championships

Ebrahim Ranjbar claimed a gold medal in the men’s individual recurve W1/W2 in the 2011 World Archery Para Championships in Turin, Italy on Sunday.

Ranjbar defeated Myeong-Gu Lee from Korea 6-0 and won the gold medal and booked a place in the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Another Iranian representative Zahra Nemati snatched a silver medal in the women’s individual recurve W1/W2 after being beaten by Chinese Yanhong Xiao 6-2 in the final game.
 
Para-archery is one of the 20 sports that will be played at the London 2012 Paralympic Games which get underway on 29 August 2012.
