Handicrafts of West Azarbaijan to Go on Exhibit in Turkey

TEHRAN, July2 (Mehr News Agency) – Concurrent with the opening today of Iran’s Cultural Week in Turkey, handicrafts of West Azarbaijan Province will go on exhibit in Istanbul.

The exhibition will open with the participation of Iran’s Commerce Minister, director of Iran’s Export Development Center as well as several Iranian and Turkish cultural officials.

A collection of precious hand-woven carpets, tableaus, kilims, earthenware, intarsia and crystal works, as well as sculptures will be put on display during the week. The province has been active in recent years promoting handicrafts nationwide.

The week will provide an opportune moment for introducing the realities of today's Iran to Turkish people.
   
A great number of Iranian businesses and industries will showcase their products during the event while a concert of Iran's traditional music, a festival of its traditional costumes, and samples of Iranian cuisine will be offered to visitors as well.
