Iran Summons 26 Pugilists

TEHRAN, January 28 (Mehr News Agency) -- Iran called up 26 boxers Wednesday to attend the national training sessions.

The Iranian pugilists are to compete in two international events in China and Pakistan in March and May, which are the qualifying bouts for 2004 Athens Olympic Games.

   

The following boxers will start their training sessions in the Azadi Sports Complex, 10km west of Tehran, Saturday.

   

Coaches Iraj Malek-Hosseinpur, Gholamreza Karimi, Mahmud Kayhani, Esfandiar Mohammadi, and Bijan Batmani are steering the boxers and Mahmud Mossaedian is the team's technical manager.
