Cooperation essential between three government branches: cleric

TEHRAN, July 2 (MNA) – Ayatollah Mohammad Imami Kashani has said the three branches of government should have close cooperation to better manage the country’s affairs.

“There must be cooperation between the three branches in the country so that the country’s affairs will be done in the best way, especially at the present time when the enemies are leveling false charges against the Islamic Republic,” Emami Kashani told Tehrani worshipers on Friday.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said Iran’s nuclear program is solely intended for peaceful purposes.

“They (the West) accuse Iran of seeking to produce nuclear weapons while Iran’s program is scientific and industrial,” he added.

The West is well aware of the fact that Iran’s nuclear program is for peaceful purposes but they cannot tolerate the fact that Muslim states are making technological advances, he observed.

On crises in Palestine and Gaza, he said, “If the Muslim world and Islamic governments be vigilant and fulfill their duties, (we) will not see again that Islamic nations be swallowed up by the Zionist regime.”
