Head of art section at the 11th International Qur’an Exhibition is convinced that Iranian golden cloth dates back to many years ago.
Pointing to the fact that textile weaving is gradually consigned to oblivion with the advent of machine woven textile, Abdolmajid Sharifzadeh added that traditional textile workshops are now being preserved by the Cultural Heritage Organization.
He added that the hand-woven textiles are made with natural silk in beautiful patterns, unique in value in the world.
