Iranian MPs visit Bahrain

TEHRAN, June 22 (MNA) – A delegation of Iranian lawmakers traveled to Bahrain on Sunday to attend a meeting of the Asian Parliaments Association for Peace (AAPP), due to be held on June 23-24.

The meeting is aimed at drafting a friendship treaty among Asian nations.

 

The Iranian delegation is headed by Shabib Javijeri of the Majlis Foreign Policy and National Security Committee.

 

Massud Eslami, AAPP assistant secretary general for legal affairs, Amir-Hussein Zamaninia, AAPP assistant secretary general for policy making and coordination affairs, and Zohreh Alhian of the National Security and Foreign Policy committee are among the MPs.

 

The Asian Parliaments Association for Peace was established at the initiative of Iran and its secretariat is based in Tehran.
