A tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz inbound was hailed by the IRGC and instructed to turn back or the vessel would be targeted. The Master of the tanker has confirmed that they have compiled with the instruction.
Authorities are investigating.
Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO.
