During the phone call, the two top diplomats exchanged views on the regional developments and the security and economic consequences of the US-Israeli military aggression against Iran.
Araghchi had said any provocative action by the aggressors and their allies, including in the United Nations Security Council, in the Strait of Hormuz would further exacerbate the situation.
He had strongly criticized some European countries which have kept silence in the face of US-Israeli atrocities.
