Iran will determine the end of the war: military spox

Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaqari, speaking on Monday, March 30, 2026, addressed remarks to the U.S. president, emphasising Iran’s firm stance on defending its sovereignty.
He criticised U.S. policies, saying they have contributed to instability and insecurity both regionally and globally, and noted that these actions have triggered widespread protests within the United States and in other parts of the world.
According to him, these protests reflect growing public concern over the consequences and uncertain future of ongoing conflicts.
Zolfaqari further stated that miscalculations and arrogance in U.S. leadership have not only failed to serve American interests but have also intensified global tensions.
He added that despite aggressive actions taken in coordination with Israel, U.S. leaders are aware of their inability to prevail against Iran’s military capabilities and national unity, which has led them to seek support from other countries to end the conflict.
He concluded by reiterating that Iran maintains a defensive posture but will respond firmly to any aggression and ultimately determine the outcome of any war.
