Gunfire heard in Caracas, Venezuela’s capital

TEHRAN, Jan. 06 (MNA) – Local media reported gunfire in the vicinity of Venezuela’s presidential palace.

According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), a source within the Venezuelan government said that gunfire occurred hours earlier near the presidential palace in Caracas.

The source added that the situation in the area is under control.

The source further stated that unidentified drones were flying over the Venezuelan presidential palace, prompting security forces to open fire on them.

Meanwhile, the head of Al Mayadeen’s bureau in Caracas reported hearing several explosions and gunfire in the center of Venezuela’s capital.
