Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said in an interview with Sputnik that the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, attended by senior officials from various countries, holds great significance for the Palestinian cause.
He noted that the summit primarily focused on key issues, including a ceasefire, the release of prisoners, the delivery of humanitarian aid, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces — matters he described as “highly important.”
Abbas added that the process must continue with two main objectives: rebuilding Gaza through coordinated Arab and international efforts, and achieving lasting peace via an international conference dedicated to the issue.
