Turkish Intelligence detains alleged Mossad spy in Istanbul

TEHRAN, Oct. 3 (MNA) – Turkish intelligence arrested a man named Serkan Çiçek in a joint operation for allegedly working with Israel's Mossad secret service, authorities said Friday.

The National Intelligence Organization (MİT) named the probe "Metron Operation" targeting Çiçek for working with Israel, Hurriyet Daily News Reported.

The operation involved the National Intelligence Organization (MİT), Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and Istanbul Police Anti-Terror Branch.

MİT's probe found Çiçek in contact with Faysal Rasheed from Israel's Online Operations Center.

Çiçek agreed to spy on a Palestinian activist opposing Israel's Middle East policies.

Investigations revealed Çiçek's real name is Muhammet Fatih Keleş. He changed it after racking up business debts and quit trade to start Pandora Detective Agency in 2020.

Çiçek met Musa Kuş and lawyer Tuğrulhan Dip—both now jailed for spying for Israel—and worked with them on detective jobs involving personal data for cash.

His detective work caught Mossad's eye. Agent Rasheed, posing as overseas law firm staff, contacted him via WhatsApp on July 31.
