Leader urges govt. to ensure occupational safety

TEHRAN, April 30 (MNA) -- Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said here on Monday that the administration should encourage proper relations between workers and investors and allay their concerns about occupational safety.

The administration should prepare the ground for the country’s economic prosperity and prevent workers and investors from intruding into one another’s business and should especially support the workers, Ayatollah Khamenei stated in a meeting with thousands of workers from all over the country on the eve of International Workers’ Day.

“Workers, investors, and the administration are three sides of the country’s economic development triangle,” he said.

Economic development is one of the country’s major objectives, and this development and increase in productivity requires the cooperation of workers, investors, and the administration, with each properly performing their task, he added.

Unlike some failed ideologies that divide society into two poles and unlike the Western societies in which the capitalists intervene in all affairs of their countries, in the Islamic Republic, investors and workers are equally respected, the Leader noted.

“In this mutual collaboration, each should receive their just and rightful share,” he added.

Quality is one of the problems of domestic products, he said, adding that improving efficiency, raising the level of technical education, and encouraging innovation by workers are necessary to enhance the quality of domestic products.

Over the past 28 years, the Iranian nation has shown its strength and capacity and has proven that the era of discouraging this nation is over, he stated.

The independent, honorable, and successful Iranian nation, with its abundant manpower and talented youth, feels strong and capable of speeding down the road of progress more than at any time before, he said.
