The letter from the TASS that has been sent from its Director General Andrey Kondrashov and First Deputy Director General Mikhail Gusman to Mohammad Mahdi Rahmati, the director general of the Mehr News Agency (MNA) (Mehr Media Group), has offered sincere condolences on the demise (martyrdom) of the distinguished political leader President Ebrahim Raeisi.
The TASS directors praised President Raeisi as a brilliant politician and a true expert of diplomacy as well as a devoted patriot of Iran.
"His efforts and achievements for the benefit of strengthening Russian-Iranian relations will always remain an example of selfless service for our people," read the letter.
"We would like to convey our deepest condolences to all the people of Iran," the letter also read, adding that "We wish they could bravely endure this tragic loss, while the bright memory of such an experienced person as Mr. Raisi will remain with us for many years more."
Martyr President Raeisi along with Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Governor of East Azarbaijan Province Malek Rahmati, head of Raeisi’s bodyguard team Mehdi Mousavi, and Iranian Leader’s representative in the province Mohammad Ali Al-e-Hashem, became martyred in a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan Province n northwest Iran on May 19.
