Iran's Badminton Team Due in Jakarta Oct. 12 for Asian Event

TEHRAN, October 7 (Mehr News Agency) -- National badminton team of Iran has been scheduled to leave here for Jakarta, capital of Indonesia, on October 12 to take part in the Asian competitions.

Coached by Mahmoud Ansari, Iran comprises players Ali Shah-Hosseini, Gholamreza Baqeri, Farhad Soleimani, Kaveh Mehrabi, and Nikzad Shiri.

President of Iran's Badminton Federation, Mahdi Karbassian, will accompany the team to attend a meeting of the Asian Badminton Confederation.

The Indonesian capital is to host the Asian contests on October 14-19.
