Israel assassinates Gaza humanitarian aid coordinator

TEHRAN, Mar. 19 (MNA) – Israeli occupation forces killed on Monday Fayeq al-Mabhouh, the head of police and aid coordinator in Gaza during its military raid on the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City.

Israel’s military and internal spy agency Shin Bet also known as Shabak confirmed the assassination of Mabhouh, claiming he was working for the Hamas resistance movement.

But the Palestinian media reported that Mabhouh had been in charge of coordinating the arrival of humanitarian aid as a police officer in Gaza.

Meanwhile, informed sources told the Palestinian Sama news agency that Brigadier General Mabhouh was in contact with the tribes of Gaza and UNRWA and worked as a coordinator for the arrival of humanitarian aid and meeting the needs of the residents of northern Gaza.

The Zionist regime bombed the hospital and its surrounding areas 40 times on Sunday claiming it had received reports about the presence of senior Hamas commanders there.

This is the second time that Israeli forces have stormed the Al-Shifa Medical Complex since the beginning of the war under different pretext. They stormed it for the first time on November 16, after besieging it for at least a week.

The Gaza Ministry of Health announced on Monday morning that the apartheid regime's attack on hospitals was inhumane and a clear violation of international law.

The ministry said that the Zionist enemy is still trying to deceive the world and justify the attack on hospitals under false and fabricated narratives.
