The Zionist Israeli regime army issued a statement on Wednesday in which it announced a massive aerial attack by its fighter jets on areas in southern Lebanon.
Footage from Lebanon shared online shows a series of Israeli bombings in a number of towns in the south of the country, including areas in Nabatiyeh Governorate, deeper inside the country than most previous strikes.
Among the towns reported hit are Adchit, Chehabiyah, Bouslaiya, Kfar Dunin and Souneh, the Times of Israel said.
Local media have said that at last five Lebanese people were killed and 11 other were wounded in the Israeli barrage of airstrikes on different areas.
Earlier on Wednesday, a Hezbollah rocket attack on an Israeli regime's army base in the northern city of Safed has killed 1 and injured 8 more. The Zionist regime media have confirmed the casualties.
