Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held a phone call with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan on Wednesday to discuss bilateral and regional issues of mutual interests.
Amir-Abdollahian emphasized speeding up the start of the Hajj Umrah during the call in addition to discussing some other bilateral issues and other areas of cooperation between the two countries as well as regional issues.
"The issue of Hajj and Umrah flights and the Saudi technical delegation's trip to Iran were also discussed in this telephone conversation, and both sides also expressed their satisfaction with the process of bilateral relations and emphasized the development and deepening of cooperation between the two countries in matters of mutual interest," a readout of the phone call published by the Iranain foreign ministry said.
The two foreign ministers further expressed their concern over the continuation of the Zionist regime's crimes against the oppressed Palestinian people and emphasized the need to end the crimes committed by the Zionist regime, lift the humanitarian aid ban imposed on Gaza, and restore peace to the region.
