Iraqi resistance reports missile strike on US base in Syria

TEHRAN, Jan. 14 (MNA) – Forces of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq have announced a new missile attack on the US military base in Syria.

According to reports, the base on the territory of the Kharab al-Jir airport in the northeastern part of the Al-Hasakah Governorate was attacked, Tass reports.

No details were given.

Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said on January 9, 2024, that US forces in Iraq and Syria have been attacked 127 times since October 17, 2023. Of those, 52 attacks came from bases in Iraq and 75 from bases in Syria.

Earlier, Iraqi Resistance warned the US in a statement posted on their Telegram channel that they would increase the number of armed operations in Iraq and Syria as "Washington continues to provide military aid to the Israeli army, which is killing civilians in the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon."
