Russia destroys 22 Ukrainian UAVs, intercepts 13 more

TEHRAN, Dec. 05 (MNA) – Air defenses have destroyed twenty-two Ukrainian drones and intercepted thirteen more over on the territory of Russia, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

An attempt of the Kyiv regime to carry out an attack with the use of UAVs in the night against facilities on the Russian territory was thwarted, TASS reported citing the Russian Defense Ministry statement.

Air defense units on duty destroyed 22 Ukrainian UAVs and intercepted 13 more over the Sea of Azov and in the airspace over the Republic of Crimea, it added.

The ministry stated that six Ukrainian UAVs over the Sea of Azov were detected at approximately 6:00 a.m. Moscow time (3:00 a.m. GMT) adding that "four of them were destroyed and two more intercepted."
