In an interview with correspondents of IRNA and IRIB in New York on Friday, Amir-Abdollahian discussed a meeting with a US think tank attended by former American politicians.
In the meeting with the think tank, he highlighted the differences between Iran and the US, criticizing the approach of American officials toward Iran and the Iranian people regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
He also mentioned former US President Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the accord and the continuation of this policy by incumbent US President Joe Biden, albeit under different rhetoric and format.
Amir-Abdollahian stated that questions were raised by some former US politicians and current officials, to which he tried to provide responses.
