Supporters, hosts of terrorists share blame for Shiraz attack

TEHRAN, Aug. 15 (MNA) – Iran's government Spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi says that the countries that support and host the terrorist groups are also responsible for the recent terrorist attack on the Shah Cheragh holy shrine in Shiraz.

Expressed condolences over the terrorist attack at the Shah Cheragh shrine, Bahadori Jahromi stressed that the country's security and judicial systems are pursuing the arrest and punishment of the attack's perpetrators.

He further stresses that the states that support and host terrorist groups are also responsible for this crime and Iran will pursue their actions legally through international organizations.

On Sunday, a terrorist went on a shooting spree at the Shah Cheragh holy shrine, killing at least two people and injuring several others.

The ISIL terrorist group claimed responsibility for the deadly assault.

The Shah Cheragh shrine in Shiraz was the scene of a similar attack by armed terrorists last year. On October 26, 2022, an armed terrorist barged into the shrine, killing 15 pilgrims, including women and children, and injuring dozens more before he was shot and injured by security forces.

The terrorist later died of his wounds in hospital.
