Iran basketball falls short against France

TEHRAN, Jul. 31 (MNA) – Iran’s national basketball team finished the campaign in the 2020 Olympics with a 79-62 loss against France on Saturday at Saitama Super Arena.

In the final matchday of group stage, France gained the third consecutive victory in Group A matches and topped the table. The USA and Czech Republic will play later on Saturday.

Hamed Haddadi was the top performer for Iran in the match with 18 points.

Iran, in its second appearance at the Olympics, conceded three defeats in Group A.
