Gas production capacity ups in Sarakhs

TEHRAN, Apr. 7 (MNA) – Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refinery in Sarakhs charted a new record in the year 1384 (2005 – 2006) by producing some 13.727 billion cubic meters of gas.

The managing director of Hasheminejad Gas Refinery, Hassan Najafi Semnani told the Mehr News Agency in Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi Province, on Friday that by possessing five gas refining units – each of which can design for a 35 million cubic meters of gas per day – and also by implementing the plan to increase the gas production capacity, Hasheminejad Gas Refinery has increased its production capacity to 42 million cubic meters that indicates a 20% increase in comparison with last year.

 

He also went on to say that the feedstock gas of this refinery was provided by the sour gas tank of Mozduran gas field, adding that 10% of the gas is an acidic gas composed of 3.5% sulfuric hydrogen and 6.5% of carbon dioxide.

 

Najafi Semnani further noted that after precipitating dangerous gases from the natural gas, the produced gas is transferred to six provinces in the north and north eastern parts of the country including Khorasan Razavi, Northern Khorasan, Southern Khorasan, Golestan, Mazandaran, and parts of Semnan provinces.

 

Semnani concluded that in the year 1384 (2005 – 2006), Hasheminejad Gas Refinery made a record by producing 52.5 million cubic meters of gas per day.
