Iranian parl. delegation leaves for Pyongyang

TEHRAN, Dec. 06 (MNA) – Head of Iran-North Korea Parliamentary Friendship Group, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, atop a delegation, has traveled to Pyongyang at the invention of his North Korean counterpart.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi, at the head of an Iranian parliamentary delegation, has left Tehran for Pyongyang to hold talks with the speaker of North Korean parliament, the head of foreign relations committee, as well as the head and the members of the Iran-North Korea Parliamentary Friendship Group there.

The delegation is expected to discuss issues of mutual interest and ways to expand bilateral relations with the North Korean parliamentary officials during their visit.

Relations between the parliaments of Iran and North Korea have been on upward trajectory over the past years and regular exchange of visits between the two countries’ delegations have been taking place.

Several Iranian lawmakers who are members of the Iran-North Korea Parliamentary Friendship Group are accompanying Boroujerdi during the visit.
