The 2018 Asian Games gold medalist had earlier won William Engman of Swede, Fali Li of China, Khazakhstan’s Yermek Ainazarov, and Senegal’s Abdourahmane Sene, Ken Nishimura of Japan, before winning Russian Beslan Mizov in the semifinal.
Sajjad Ganjzadeh, in men’s +84kg category, settled for silver after conceding a 2-5 defeat to Germany’s Jonathan Horne in the final contest.
