Iran, Russia to continue coop. against US ‘illegal’ sanctions

TEHRAN, Jun. 23 (MNA) – The deputy foreign ministers of Iran and Russia have stressed to continue bilateral cooperation against United States ‘illegal’ withdrawal from the nuclear deal.

Iran and Russia’s deputies of foreign ministers Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Sergey Rybakov held a meeting on Friday to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two sides after the US withdrawal from the nuclear deal known as the JCPOA.

After the meeting, the two sides issued a statement in which they stressed to continue cooperation to preserve the JCPOA.

In addition to underlining Russia’s commitment to the JCPOA, the statement added "the two sides agreed to continue active cooperation on the issue in order to protect their trade and economic cooperation against US’s unilateral and illegal sanctions."
