Iran-Eurasia commercial agreement to be finalized

TEHRAN, Nov. 11 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ali Akbar Mehrfard asserted that Iran-Eurasia business agreement is being finalized and added "60 types of Iranian fruits have entered the business cycle."

Iranian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ali Akbar Mehrfard made remarks in the joint meeting that is currently at session between the high ranking European business delegation and Iranian business persons in Tehran chamber of commerce. 

Ali Akbar Mehrfard who discussed Iranian food industry and added “2200 types of herbs have so far been discovered in Iran some of which have entered the business cycle. Not many countries in the world have 60 types of fruits in their business cycle. Iran has a diversified climate, ranging from hot and dry to humid, mild and cold.”

Saying that Iranian banks have become one of the biggest obstacles for commerce, he asserted that banks cause lots of problems for Iranian businessmen and increase business costs. He called for such obstacles to be removed and commercial infrastructures and standards to be raised. 

Pointing out that Iran is determined to become a member of the world trade organization, Mehrfard asserted that the negotiations between Iran and Eurasia are being concluded and said “we express hope that we can reach similar agreements that facilitate commerce with other countries.”
