Europe’s association with US sign of betrayal

TEHRAN, Nov. 03 (MNA) – Addressing worshipers during Tehran Friday Prayers, Ayatollah Movahedi Kermani said Europe’s cooperation with the US was a sign of betrayal and urged officials to be alert.

Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani led this week’s rituals of Tehran Friday Prayers (on November 03) at the temporary venue of the event, at the campus of University of Tehran.

Referring to the National Day against Global Arrogance, the cleric said fight against aggression, resistance in the face of enemies and US plots and attempts to thwart conspiracies were no merely political but also religious issues.

He noted that all prophets have been assigned to carry out two missions of inviting people to monotheism and preventing them from surrendering to tyranny.

“Silence and disregard in the face of arrogance would spread corruption,” highlighted the official explaining “those who refuse to fight against tyranny are involved in the corruption which will follow.”

Movahhedi Kermani said one could not be optimistic about Europe as it accompanies the US which is a sign of betrayal. “European countries who are associated with America are considered as enemies of the Islamic Revolution,” he warned.

“Europeans might visit Iran under pretext of doing business while in fact conducting spy operations,” he underlined. “Enemies are merely after their own benefits and seek to resolved their own problems.”

The cleric later stressed that their proposals, though attractive on the look, can be misleading.

On bizarre policies of Donald Trump, he said former US presidents would adopt similar stances while Trump clearly revealed all their real intentions. He called for in time recognition of enemies’ conspiracies and proper confrontation with them.

He pointed to the recent trilateral summit in Tehran saying “the event led to excellent achievements the first of which was further consolidation of ties. Moreover, both enemies and friends admitted to Iran’s power.”

Ayatollah Movahhedi Kermani said one prominent feature of the meeting was Vladimir Putin’s respect for the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Leader of Islamic Revolution.

“Fighting against oppression is not limited to the fight against ISIL rather it involves assisting the oppressed people,” underscored the official on the eve of the national Student Day which falls on November 4 this year.

At the end of his remarks, the Friday cleric urged teachers, professors and universities to offer best services to students, including those coming from poverty-stricken families. He also appreciated valuable efforts of Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran in ensuring security inside the country at all times.
