11 Iranian short films to vie at San Francisco festival

TEHRAN, Aug. 30 (MNA) – 11 short films will represent Iran in the 10th Iranian Film Festival which would take place in San Francisco, US.

These short films include ‘Retouch’ directed by Kave Mazaheri, ‘Animal’ directed by Bahram and Bahman Ark, ‘Lunch Time’ directed by Alireza Ghasemi, ‘Periodicity directed by Ali Khoshduni Farahani, ‘Red Peace’ directed by Rahim Tufan, ‘Border Crossing’ directed by Majid Sedaghat and ‘White House’ directed by Arastu Mafakheri.

Among them are the animations ‘Dash Akol’ directed by Hajar Mohajerani, ‘Switchman’ directed by Mehdi Khorramian, ‘A Thousand Tales’ directed by Asghar Saffar and Abbas Jalali Yekta and finally ‘Iki’ directed by Parastoo Kargar. All of these short animations and films will compete with other Iranian short films from all around the world in San Francisco international festival.

Iranian Film Festival was founded in 2008 in San Francisco with a mission to discover and support young Iranian film makers across the world. The 10th edition of this festival will be held in San Francisco Art Institute on September 23 and 24.
