The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival is got underway on Friday October 27 and will run through November 19. The event will screen over 160 films from around the globe, from wartime dramas to comedic heist movies. In particular, the fest has put together an impressive slate of documentaries.
As such, Lunch Time, directed by Alireza Ghasemi, will make its 10th international presence at FLIFF. The Iranian production has so far appeared in credible festivals including 2017 Cannes Film Festival.
Khorshid Cheraghipour, Rooya Bakhtiari, Amir Taghdiri, Peyman Naemi, Siavash Cheraghipour, Bahram Emrani, Pouria Akhavan, Mohammad Hadadi, Alireza Ghasemi, Mahdi Yegane, Arash Ghasemi are among the cast members of Lunch Time.
The short film narrates the story of a 16-year-old girl who has come to the hospital to identify the body of her mother. The people in charge at the hospital - due to her young age - won't let her into the morgue.
The 32nd Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) premieres over 160 American Independent, World Cinema and Florida feature, documentary and short films from October 27-November 19, 2017.
