Iran issues visa, flight permit for Saudi delegation

TEHRAN, Sep. 03 (MNA) – Spokesperson of Iran’s Foreign Ministry said visa and travel permits have been issued for the Saudi delegation which is expected to visit Iran following Hajj rituals.

Bahram Ghasemi, Spokesman of Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, made the announcement saying “the upcoming visit by the Saudi Delegation is only aimed at observing diplomatic buildings given that they have remained empty of residents since the cut in the two countries’ ties.”

“We will also make a similar visit to examine buildings which belong to Iran and are situated in Saudi Arabia,” he continued.

Ghasemi said under a bilateral agreement, Iranian and Saudi delegations will travel to the other country in order to visit their diplomatic sites in Riyadh and Tehran.

“The visit has no connection to the issue of compensation as no talk has been so far held in that regard,” stressed the official.
