Secretary-General of Iran's Association of Egg-Laying Hen Producers Farzad Talakesh said Iraq has been allowing arrival of Iranian eggs at his borders over the past fortnight asserting “the country’s exporters are presently facing no limits except for the fact that Iranian prices have a higher price than those of other competitors.”
At another part of his remarks, the official said exporting firms managed to ship eggs to Qatar explaining that the consignment had comprised a 20-ton container and had been shipped experimentally.
He however criticized lack a coordinated exports as Iranian traders set out to conduct marketing procedures individually.
On egg exports to Afghanistan, Talakesh said the process had kicked off as of April 22 and approximately 1500 tons on the product have been so far sold to the neighboring country.
“Iraqis are also willing to purchase Iranian eggs due to high quality of the product and religious commonalities,” underlined the official explaining that the two sides however fail to hit an accord when it gets to pricing issues.
