Danish amb., DRC officials visit funded places for refugees in Karaj

TEHRAN, Jun. 13 (MNA) – A delegation consisting of Denmark's Ambassador to Tehran Danny Annan, along with DRC Country Director Ruta Nimkar, visited a number of places in Alborz province established under the funding of Danish Refugee Council (DRC).

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-profit organization working in more than 30 countries and assists one million people throughout the world.

The organization is active in Iran since 2012, and is currently implementing a broad range of activities relevant to the Afghan refugees, including establishment of a Birth Center in Sarallah Hospital, a tailoring workshop and an educational institute in Karaj, Alborz province.

The ambassador and DRC official visited the places to be notified of educational facilities and services to Afghan nationals and evaluate the literacy measures, vocational training and health services for refugees.

Denmark's Ambassador to Tehran Danny Annan was accompanied by DRC Country Director Ruta Nimkar, Danish Deputy Head of Mission Malte Möller-Christensen, DRC Program Quality and M7E Coordinator Maryam Bidmeshgipour and Mehr News correspondent, during the visit to Karaj.
