TEHRAN, Apr. 22 (MNA) – Iranian feature movie 'The Mobarak' directed by Mohammad Reza Emami is being displayed in Canadian cinemas.

The Mobarak is now going on screen in Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal since April 20.

Earlier, The Mobarak had been selected for the 2016 Annecy International Animated Film Festival (June 13-22) in France. The animation, a blend of realism and animatronics, then went on screen at the Montreal World Film Festival in August, 2016.

The movie has made excessive use of animation scenes, picturing Elnaz Shakerdoost and many other famous actors and actresses along with Shahnameh characters.

The story is about an old man whose job is narrating stories using dolls that have been made in the adaptation of the Shahnameh characters. This old man has lived a big part of his life in these hero worlds and is concerned about a day when the black characters of Shahnameh send the world to endless darkness and misery. One day these dolls become alive and try to help the old man to ease his worries and concerns.
