Iran, Finland sign agreement on customs coop.

TEHRAN, Apr. 19 (MNA) – Head of Islamic Republic of Iran's Customs Administration (IRICA) Masoud Karbasian and Director General of Finnish Customs Antti Hartikainen signed Tuesday an agreement on customs cooperation in Helsinki.

The agreement is the first one to be signed with an European country since the implementation of JCPOA in Rouhani’s government.

Iran is the 22nd country that has signed customs cooperation agreement with the Republic of Finland.

Under the terms of the agreement, Iran and Finland’s Customs will cooperate on customs regulations, value of goods, commodity classification, enforcement of rules, transportation regulations, as well as countering narcotics, psychotropic drugs and industrial and traditional precursors industries.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the challenges and opportunities for cross-border trade as well as improving trade relations between the two countries.
