Mr. Zarif will hold a meeting with his Georgian counterpart Mikheil Janelidze on Tuesday, followed by a separate meeting with the country’s Parliament Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze.
Iranian top diplomat will then sign the honorary guest book of Georgia’s Parliament and lay a wreath at Heroes Memorial in Tbilisi’s Heroes Square, which honors all those who died protecting the territorial integrity of Georgia.
Zarif will then hold talks with Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Giorgi Gakharia.
Taking part and delivering a speech at a trade forum with participation of the two countries’ economic actors is also on Mr. Zarif’s agenda during this one-day visit.
The Iranian minister will then hold separate meetings with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and President Giorgi Margvelashvili.
After a luncheon hosted by foreign minister Janelidze and visiting the National Archive of Georgia, Zarif will depart for Kyrgyzstan as the third and last leg of his regional trip.
