Mr. Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said Wednesday after Cabinet session that the upcoming Sunday would be a great day for the oil industry since president would officially launch operation of three large refineries in Assaluyeh, the site of massive oil and gas projects along with opening of 6 South Pars phases.
"The projects attracted a cumulative investment of $20bn which will be greatly contributed to national products of oil and gas and will boost Iran's share of extraction from shared oil and gas fields where the southern neighbors' had dwarfed Iran's productions by a wide margin," Zanganeh told reporters.
Oil minister believed projects would best serve Resistance Economy policies emphasized by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. "The remaining planned other six phases are predicted to be operative by the end of the fiscal year (March 21, 2018)," added the minister, who cast doubt on the completion of the project since issues in the marine parts of the projects and with the contractor company Sadra, would slow the process.
