Culture min. meets with Tunisian counterpart

TEHRAN, Mar. 31 (MNA) – Iranian culture minister has been received by Tunisian Minister of Religious Affairs Ahmed Adhoum.

Mr. Reza Salehi Amiri and Mr. Adhoum discussed the possibilities of cooperation between Iran and Tunisia and sharing experiences in cultural activities.

Mr. Adhoum hailed Iranian officials’ warm welcome and believed religion was central for Iranian identity and that Iran placed a high esteem on religious affairs of the public.

He expressed hopes that his country would draw on Iran’s experiences on running religious places and mosques, religious cinema, and Hajj pilgrimage.

Mr. Salehi Amiri will sign a trilateral deal with Algerian and Tunisian ministers of religious affairs which will improve cultural ties including religious art forms and cinema.

Mr. Amiri also met his counterpart from other countries during the session held in Tunisia during a cultural tour of the country where Mr. Salehi Amiri will inaugurate Iran Movie Week in Tunisia and will visit a book fair.
