Navy fleet departs for Russia's Makhachkala

TEHRAN, Mar. 07 (MNA) – Army Navy’s ‘Peace and Friendship’ fleet has left Anzali Port city in southern shores of Caspian Sea to arrive in Makhachkala, the center of Republic of Dagestan in northwest shores.

The fleet including Damavand destroyer and Derafsh missile-launcher destroyer will be visiting Russian port of Makhachkala as part of regular contacts between Iran and Russia to improve peace and friendship in the Sea.

The fleet is in its 4th such visit and 3rd to Russia apart from a single visit to Republic of Azerbaijan since an objective was defined for the Navy to fly Iran’s flag in these port cities.
