Iranian Health Minister Seyed Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi who is visiting Mexico after his stop in Cuba, met with the chairmen and member senators of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pension of the Senate of the Republic of Mexico on Thursday.
Pointing to 100th anniversary of legislation in Mexico, Senator Francisco Salvador López Brito, the president of the Commission, hailed decades of friendly political relations between Iran and Mexico. He said that for the first time a group of Mexican senators met with a group of Iranian MPs and the bilateral relations have seen a good improvement after the meeting.
The Mexican senator recounted his studies of Iran’s health system and asserted that the current Iranian administration have taken good steps in providing general insurance policy and curbing medical costs for 30%.
The Mexican lawmaker called for bilateral cooperation on areas of research, education, technology, medicine and academy as Iran has made great progress in those areas.
