In part of the book, which is punctuated with backstage anecdotes, he writes about the status of Iranian drama after the 1953 coup d'etat against prime minister Mohammad Mossadeq, describing how cabarets replaced playhouses.
“After the coup d'etat, people lost interest in the dramatic arts and we were obliged to act on TV,” reads part of his memoirs.
He writes about his experiences acting on stage and screen, studying at Tehran’s University of Dramatic Arts, and writing and staging his plays. In addition, the book will describe Keshavarz’s major roles in movies and TV series.
Issues such as acting in general, the tempo of acting, incidental music, movement, the main job of an actor, and his/her grasp of the role are also discussed in the book.
Meanwhile, writer Azam Kian Afraz is currently analyzing Keshavarz’s biography, cinematic activities, directing career, and plays for a book she is writing about him.
Keshavarz has acted in many films, including “Mother,” “Under the Olive Trees”, “Hamun”, “The Shoes of Mirza Noruz”, “Red Rose”, and “Nasereddin Shah, Cinema Actor”, and TV series such as “Hezar Dastan”, “Sar Bedaran”, and “The Sultan and the Shepherd”.
