Reza Mowzouni and Masoumeh Abdollahi were the officials of Iran's Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) who attended the press conference of the ‘Week of Friendship between the Children of Iran and Russia’ in Volgograd Oblast, federal subject of the Russian Federation.
Reza Mowzouni who is the General Manager of the IIDCYA branch in Iran’s Kermanshah province told the media representatives that there are a lot of similarities between Volgograd Oblast and Kermanshah province of Iran which were the fronts of resistance during the wars against Iran and Russia, “Volgograd is a symbol of resistance and epic in the WWII and Iranians also acted heroically during the eight years of Saddam’s war against Iran.”
He also elaborated on different services provided by the IIDCYA including permanent and seasonal libraries and postal book supply. Mowzouni called the IIDCYA as an influential player in fostering creativity among Iranian children and the youth.
“Iran and Russia have different ecosystems but they share the same language of smile,” said the Iranian cultural official in response to a question that how he sees the Russian Volgograd Oblast. He described ‘the Ice in Love with Sun’ as a puppet show advocating peace, friendship, and kindness.
Masoumeh Abdollahi, the International Relations official of the IIDCYA also recounted the festivals and programs run by the institute.
The Foreign Ministry’s Department of Cultural Affairs of Iranian Expatriates, the Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia and the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults jointly opened the ‘Week of Friendship between the Children of Iran and Russia’ in Russia’s Volgograd Oblast on Monday December 19 and the program will be wrapped up on Saturday December 24.
