UK seeks destruction of Iran-Arab relations

TEHRAN, Dec. 16 (MNA) – Head of Parliament NSFPC Alaeddin Boroujerdi has emphasized that UK’s role is to demolish Iran’s tie s with neighbors, Arab states in particular.

In response to Theresa May’s remarks during the recent Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) meeting, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission (NSFPC) Alaeddin Boroujerdi said Britain has always sought to tear down bilateral ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and neighboring states, including Arab ones.

“These measures are being taken with the primary aim of gaining military bases and arms sales as evidenced by Britain’s new marine base in Bahrain,” he continued.

The official went on to stress that these propagandas influence Arab States of the Persian Gulf and the British take the opportunity to sell billions of dollars of weapons to them by benefiting from their weaknesses.

He underscored that these measures would never boost regional security and has adverse effects due to the fact that once a military base is put at the disposal of a foreign county, the base will be literally owned by the guest agent rather than the host.

He reminded Arab neighbors of Iran that Iran pursues the policy of co-existence with neighbors and they should never be deceived by Britain’s evil actions.
